the lovers, the twins
as May passes through
the blue moon situated
in arching Sagittarius
into a new June
a new bloom when
iris and peonies
give way to lilies
a jump through the hoop
a passing through portal
where small gentle ways
start the momentum
to growing ravenous waves
and lovers pass the torch
to the chariot and Helios glory
