our tangled bodies
while sheets twisted
in the wind of our desire
our serpentine limbs
danced in an emerald haze
and we were lost to
the late night hours
our lips slowly chanted
the song emanating from
our heaving chests
eternity could have
passed us by unaware
as your hand brushed
my cheek and trickled
down my neck
your arm cradled
my chest from behind
and we fell asleep
with your breath
whispering in my ear
