in the living room
was in competition
with the small windmill
in the neighbor's yard
just outside the side window
the backyard rabbit
I pretty much am
keeping as a pet now
was gnawing on the
frozen carrots I tossed
to it from the veg drawer
I need to reset the temp
on the fridge I guess
the evening sunrays
cast the best silhouette
on the bedroom wall
from the nearby
planter of philodendron
the reflection in
the bathroom mirror
was easier to look at
as the effort of both
diet and those damn
daily exercises seems
to actually be working
the clock on the dresser
near the closet door
still displays daylight
savings time because
sometimes I just can't
be bothered to keep up
with the rest of the world
